Patient Education
Your first mental health visit, or intake, will be approximately a 60 minute session focused on gathering your history and understanding your current concerns to create a treatment plan. You can expect to discuss your mental and physical health history, symptoms, and lifestyle, potentially complete paperwork, and answer many questions in a collaborative conversation with the provider. A treatment plan may be developed and it’s a good idea to come prepared with a list of your symptoms and goals.
